At Vision for Living Community Outreach CDC, we’re not just running programs we’re building people. We are a boots-on-the-ground, heart-on-fire organization serving underserved youth and families across Houston with programs that heal the soul, feed the body, and empower the future.
We stand in the gap for students and families who’ve been forgotten by systems, failed by circumstances, or stuck in cycles they didn’t create.
From life-changing camps to food boxes and school supplies, everything we do says: “You matter. And we’re with you.”
What We Do
RISE After-School Program
Resilience. Identity. Support. Empowerment.
Every weekday, we provide at-risk students with mentoring, tutoring, meals, and practical life skills training. From emotional check-ins to academic catch-ups, students get the support they need to rise above what’s holding them back and step into who they’re called to be.
Exchange Life Empowerment Day Camp
Summer That Speaks to the Soul.
Not your average day camp. Students dive into personal growth, team-building, goal-setting, and leadership all while having fun. They learn to respect themselves, build real relationships, and walk in purpose.
Exchange Life Overnight Empowerment Camp
Get Away to Come Back Changed.
Our 4-day, 3-night camp takes students out of their daily environments and into a space of healing, hope, and transformation. Through mentorship, powerful sessions, and outdoor activities, students rediscover their voice, vision, and value.
Community Empowerment & Relief
Because Empowerment Starts with Meeting Real Needs.
We don’t just serve students we serve families.
When groceries run out or clothes don’t fit or back-to-school feels out of reach we show up. Through year-round food distributions, clothing drives, school supply giveaways, and family resource events, we help families stabilize, reconnect, and move forward.
